Frequently Asked Questions

Are you accepting walkings?

Yes. Ramos dental Office we’re always accepting new patients. Contact us today to get more information and book your first appointment.

What kind of treatments do you offer?

We offer a complete array of general dental services, including regular cleanings and checkups, periodontal care, dentures, nightguards and mouthguards, crowns, bridges, implants, veneers, teeth whitening, root canals, and a number of other procedures. See our Contact page for more information.

How often should I see a dentist?

Regular dental care is essential to maintaining dental health and overall physical health. Adults should see a dentist at least once a year for a cleaning and checkup. If you experience any discomfort or notice changes in your teeth or mouth (discoloration, pain or ache, swollen or bleeding gums, persistent mouth sores, cracking or popping of the jaw), see your dentist as soon as possible.

Do you accept dental insurance?

Yes, we accept individual and group health insurance. Please bring your insurance card or policy information with you to your appointment.

What if I don’t have insurance?

If your dental care is not covered by insurance, you will be asked to pay at the time of your appointment. However, we would never want financial issues to stand in the way of our patients receiving prompt, professional dental care, so if you can’t afford treatment, our administrative staff would be happy to work out a payment plan with you.

What if I need emergency dental care?

If you have a dental emergency, call us right away, and we’ll get you in as soon as possible. If your dental emergency occurs after hours, you can e-mail us , and we’ll get back to you when the office opens. If your emergency includes significant dental or facial trauma, visit the emergency room at your local hospital.

I live in Phoenix, Arizona. How far do I have to drive?

If you live in Phoenix, the ideal destination is Los Algodones, Mexico. Los Algodones is on the border of Yuma, Arizona and Mexico. Los Algodones is approximately 3 to 3 ½ hours away from the metropolitan Phoenix area. I don’t know what I need for my teeth.

How can I determine my dental needs?

We offer all the same procedures you could get at home, but at greatly discounted rates. Whatever your dental need, Ramos dental Office have top caliber Mexican dental specialists. I just visited a U.S. dentist for an evaluation.

Can the Mexican dentist perform the treatment plan provided by the U.S. dentist?

Yes. However, you will still need to be seen and evaluated by Ramos dental Office in Mexico. Keep in mind that dentists are high-level professionals. They prefer to evaluate the dental patient independently before performing any dental procedure. Your Mexico dental treatment plan may be the same, similar, or quite different from what your U.S. dentist prescribed. However, you can provide a copy of your treatment plan in advance to Ramos dental Office for one-to-one comparison on the prices. In select dental facilities, you can send your X-rays for pre-evaluation before you travel.

How much money will I save?

Ramos dental Office clients often save up to 70% off their U.S. dental quotation. Ramos dental Office will provide a price estimate for individual dental procedures or based on a one-to-one comparison with your local treatment plan. But Ramos dental Office Professional Advisors are not dental professionals. Specific dental procedure recommendations and the exact fee quotation are provided at the Mexican dental clinic after the initial free consultation with your dentist in Mexico.

Do I need a passport or visa to cross the border to Mexico?

U.S. and Canadian citizens travelling to Mexico will need to present a valid passport or passport card to cross back to the United States. Get more information about international travel requirements. Apply for a passport. If you are looking to expedite your passport, visit http://www.rushmypassport.com/. This service enables clients to obtain their passport quickly and conveniently.

I need dental implants. How many trips to Mexico will it take?

The number of trips will depend on your dental treatment plan. Your Ramos dental Office Advisor will advise you on how many trips are required for each dental procedure and work closely with the dental office in Mexico to properly schedule your visits. Our goal is to complete your dental treatments with the fewest possible trips to Mexico.

What happens if my porcelain crown breaks or if my dentures do not fit right?

Ramos dental Office partners take professional pride in their work. You can be sure of high-quality dental treatments on par with U.S. dentists. Problems after the dental procedure are very, very rare. As long as you fulfill your part (regular cleaning, maintenance, and follow-up visits to the dentist), your dental work is guaranteed by Ramos dental Office for five years. You can go back to the dental facility free of charge for any needed repairs or adjustments. Your satisfaction is our priority.

How do I travel to the facility?

Most clients living in the bordering states drive themselves to the Mexico border, park their vehicle on the U.S. side, and walk to the dental facility. Clients from other states and Canada fly to the nearest airport, then take a cab or rent a car to travel to the border. Back to Top
